Name: Golbez
Canon: Canon AU

World History: The world Golbez comes from is very similar to his canon universe - the world of Final Fantasy IV - it's only slight scenarios which have changed, the morality of the hero and villian. But, time for me to write a summary of Final Fantasy IV and the world!
Where to begin...? I suppose I should start by talking about the elements this world shares with most of other Final Fantasy games. There's Chocobo [giant birds], there's... no Moogles give them a break moogles only existed during 3, there's lots of high fantasy, swords, magic and summons. But that doesn't tell you much, does it?
Well then. The world of Final Fantasy IV was born... well no, I am not including my FFII/IV crossover stuff here. It was created, and crystals were planted on it by the Creator, to see if the planet was worth existance. These Crystals also helped life exist - with the four main fantasy elements, they became important to the world. Four main kingdoms evolved around them... the kingdoms of Banon, Damcyan, Fabul and Troia. (There's a fifth kingdom, but no1curr, it isn't even seen by Golbez in this AU.) These kingdoms had their own strifes, and gained their own powers and successes.
But, there's not just one world on this planet. Four crystals were also planted underground, and dwarves started to live in the underworld, the land of fire and the only stairs which can cause a cool glitch. I mean, um. But the world we're worried about? There's also a moon. Well, two moons. Twin Moons. And on these moons, are Lunarians who lost their own home and were looking for a new planet. One of them, KluYa, went to the Blue Planet (as they call it), and he bore children. Also gave the world magic, in the town of Mysidia.
But... there was one Lunarian who wanted to take over the world, instead of waiting for the humans to evolve enough to live with them side-by-side - his name was Zemus. And, well, he was sealed and forced to sleep on the moon, with eight more crystals. Not spy crystals. Well, I don't know if they're spy crystals or not. The After Years is stupid.
Character History: Now, you see that KluYa guy? Golbez is his first son. Born to a human and a Lunarian, his birth name was Theodor. Don't ask where the 'e' went. Probably to Tumblr. Anyway, after Golbez was born, his father was killed - by the magic he taught people. And then, his mother died giving birth to Theodors' brother, Cecil.
At this point, Golbez heard a voice, telling him the baby was evil and should be abandoned, he did all this, his name is now Golbez. That was that Zemus fellow, rather bad bloke. But this is where it changes from canon. A few years after the voice told him to run away, to become Golbez... Golbez fought off the feelings, because Zemus had managed to get to Cecil.

Hero or Villain? Even though Golbez had an extreme method, he still thought he worked towards the light - the good. So, it makes sense he'd be a Hero.
